I totally liked Butch Burcham's style in this comic, and though his design is a bit exploitative, he actually seems to be aware of the ridiculousness of this exploitation, and plays the story with a subtle sense of irony. Or I'm bringing that irony with me. Not sure which.
There are three stories in this issue, the first of which involves our strangely-mammaried heroine up there. Seriously, have a look at the nipple positioning and then tell me I'm wrong. Again, a neat little story with some cool, almost pin-up inspired art. The second story hearkens back to the old 50s sci-fi comics and has a neat twist ending that gives at least one of the "Star Rovers" the comeuppance he deserves.
And then the final story hit a bit close to home. The brief, three-page, tale is of a man who wishes to catch a particular disease because his loved ones all have it and he's not allowed to touch them for fear of contamination. But if he gets the disease, he'll be quarantined with them.
Yeah. Too real right now.
