The 40 Years of Comics Project - Day 1295: Starjongleur #1, Autumn 1986
Had to take a break from the porn star stories. Much as I was enjoying them, it was getting a bit repetitive.
Instead, some more 80s indie science fiction, this one told with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Gary Davis's artwork is stunning. He's equally deft at giving us a Den-like protagonist in a wilderness setting and a huge space ship orbiting said protagonists planet. Brilliant facial expressions, wonderful anatomy. And the story is funny, and interesting, and just plain strange.
I think for a bit I'm just going to pull random comics from my miscellaneous publishers section. I need some strangeness, something different.
More to come...
