The 40 Years of Comics Project - Day 598: X-Men #5, February 1992

I'm very sick today. See that cover up there? That's all you need to know about this comic. People beat up Wolverine and kidnap him. The X-Men intervene.

There is one bit I have to mention. Psylocke is swimming at one point, or that's what she says as she runs into the ready room in the tiniest depiction of a two-piece swim suit Lee could get away with without having a "Mature Readers" label on the cover. And as she, Colossus, and Cyclops are called away to rescue their comrades, Betsy isn't even allowed the dignity of putting her costume on (not that it's much better than the bathing suit). Lady swimmers, let me know if I'm wrong, but a tiny, itty-bitty two piece bikini is not even remotely the best thing to be swimming in if you're exercising, right?

*sigh*

There's going to be so much of this nonsense in 90s comics, isn't there?

Onward.
