An English translation of a Spanish classic adaptation. The art is, unsurprisingly, really great. I've never read this particular piece of Twain's corpus, but it was a cute story with a good deal of the social commentary removed for the adaptation, I'm sure. Not that I have any real problem with this. If a younger person read this and then decided to read Twain's original, I think the two would complement each other nicely.
Another bad pain day today, so that's it for this one. I see that King Classics also published a version of Moby-Dick, one of my favourite pieces of American literature. Perhaps I should see about tracking down the various adaptations of that book.
From Spain these arise
Some nice adaptations
But that's no surprise.
More to follow.
