I know this isn't really a personal blog, but here's some news anyway. I successfully defended my major field candidacy exam today, which means I'm what's termed "ABD," or "all but disseratation" for my program now. The long and short of which is that I'm going to spend probably the next two years working on a book about H.P. Lovecraft, the DCU, and myth in the twentieth century.
And that I'll never have to do a candidacy exam again. Which is AWESOME!
